The Hannover Fairgrounds has one of the largest, most modern press centers in the world. The facility is used by the thousands of editors who cover the many fairs held at Hannover. During the last HANNOVER MESSE (HANNOVER FAIR 2005), for example, about 3,000 journalists and other media representatives registered at the Press Centre. The Press Centre contains the latest communication equipment. It was designed to help make covering the international trade fairs held in Hannover as easy and efficient as possible.
The Press Centre
It is essential that all journalists and media representatives make the Press Centre their first stop when visiting any trade fair on the Hannover fairgrounds in Hannover, Germany. Whether you have already received your press pass or not, it is wise to personally register at the pressroom so that you will receive the personal messages, notices and materials especially prepared for journalists and editors. Journalists have access to offices with computers, fax modems, ISDN phone lines, Internet, telephones, fax machines and photocopiers. They can also arrange meetings with exhibitors at our "Presse-Treff” lounge, or relax alone with other journalists at the Press Club (open to members of the media only).
Journalists can select from a range of color photos taken of recent trade fair events. These are available on CD-ROM at the information counter. On request, photos can also be e-mailed directly to remote locations. The database of photos maintained on our press site is also updated on a daily basis.
Free lockers and a supervised cloakroom are at journalists’ disposal at the Press Center. The latest news on upcoming press events are announced via monitors and are also distributed in hardcopy format. Information on exhibitors, Deutsche Messe and participating industry associations is provided in press boxes.
A Radio and TV Broadcasting Center, featuring state-of-the-art studios and all the requisite broadcasting equipment, is adjacent to Hall 17. Entire shows are created here for radio, television and the new media.
