If you'll be exhibiting for the first time outside of North America, do let us know. We can help you to make the most of your international exhibiting investment! If you cannot find the answer to your question here, just click the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page and tell us how we can help.
Will you send us a floor plan so we can choose a stand?
Unlike North American trade shows, there are no pre-planned or prescribed stand locations or floor plans for the international fairs in Hannover. Rather the halls are planned for each event based on the applications received by the registration deadline and the requirements of exhibitors. After the official registration deadline has passed the hall planning begins. Of course show management will make every effort to comply with your specific requests during the planning phase. All registrations received by the official registration deadline are treated in an equal fashion. Hint: For best results we recommend you register before the official deadline to be included in the first round of hall planning.
Do I have to send a deposit for my exhibit space? Deposits are not required with your completed registration. Once your stand space has been confirmed an invoice for the stand space rental (and/or Fair Package) will be issued automatically. If you have ordered raw space, the invoice will include a deposit based on the square meters ordered, to be applied against services (such as utility, telephone, etc.) invoiced at the end of the show. Keep in mind that there may be a processing fee (invoiced upon receipt of your registration) for a specific trade fair (e.g. CeBIT Hannover) and if this is the case, details will be included in the registration forms. Refer to the Terms and Conditions for exhibiting for more information on payment due dates, conditions for cancellation, etc. Are credit cards accepted by Deutsche Messe to pay invoices? At present, credit cards are not accepted for any of the invoices issued for the international trade fairs in Hannover. Wire transfer is the recommended method of payment but you can also send a bank draft if you prefer. All payments must be made in Euros. All invoices include a list of the bank branches of Deutsche Messe on the bottom. Or contact Co-Mar Management services for instructions on making payments.
What types of services are available for exhibitors? From the conception and marketing of your trade fair participation to stand construction and dismantling as well as stand security, catering and staffing services - all the services to make your exhibit a success. You’ll find details on these services and more in the Exhibitor Service Catalogue. Hint: Use the Exhibitor Service Catalogue to help you prepare your trade show budget since most if not all of the items and services listed include prices. See Quick Links at the bottom of the page to download a copy. Or download specific sections by clicking on the Exhibitor Service tab on the top of the homepage of a specific show (e.g. DOMOTEX, CeBIT) then look for the link Exhibitor Service Catalogue on the menu on the left-hand side of the page. How do we order services for our stand (booth)? Once your stand space has been assigned you’ll receive a written stand confirmation together with an Order number (order numbers change with each event), an Ident (customer) number and a password to access the online order system, called OBS+. You log on to OBS+ (see the link below) Here you can quickly, easily and securely order any services you need from Deutsche Messe AG. Hint: We recommend taking a few minutes to review How OBS+ Works on the Welcome Page—it will make completing the forms much easier. It’s also helpful to review the Glossary where you’ll find explanations on a number of topics. When can we order services? After your stand confirmation has been received, you can order the services you need for your stand area, including rental system stands (turnkey booth options). Please note, rental system stands are not Fair Packages. Fair Packages are ordered at the time of registration. What services can we expect to find on the exhibition grounds? With its own communications network, shops, dry cleaners, banks, travel agents, post office, shuttle bus service, rail station, fire service, police station, and some 45 restaurants and 70 snack bars, the Hannover Exhibition Grounds is like a city within a city. An excellent transportation infrastructure ensures easy access to the Exhibition Grounds, located 10 miles from the centre of Hannover in the southern suburb of Laatzen (roughly a twenty minute ride on the U-Bahn).
How do I find third party service providers, such as sign makers, audio visual equipment, etc.?
Use the Classified Directory of Deutsche Messe to locate the right providers for any goods, services or support you need at the Hannover Exhibition Center. Just choose the category of interest or run a keyword search. See Quick Links at the bottom of this page.
Can we bring our pop-up display?
Nothing prevents you from using a pop-up display system in your stand area. Just keep in mind that your stand area must be separated from your neighbours on all sides by partition walls, depending on the number of open sides. You’ll also need carpet and overhead lighting (the ambient hall lighting is insufficient to light your stand area) and electrical connection. Typically, visitors to international shows in Germany, expect to sit down with you to discuss your products and services, so a small meeting table and chairs and possibly some refreshments to offer should be considered. An info counter provides a focal point for greeting visitors to your stand. Pipe and drape set-ups are not used in Europe—a hard-walled show-room type of stand is the norm. For best results, contact us so we can discuss your stand set-up objectives and help you find the right solutions for your needs and your budget. Where can I find details on the regulations for stand construction?
For details on partition walls and all other matters related to stand design, construction and other regulations, download a copy of the Technical Regulatons. See Quick Links at the bottom of this page. Where can I find the stand set-up and tear-down dates for shows in Hannover? Visit the website of specific show (e.g. DOMOTEX, Hannover Messe, etc.) and look for these pages: Homepage>Exhibitor Service>Stand Construction, Technical Services + Logistics>Stand Assembly + Dismantling.
